Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho would have been hoping for more than just five Premier League wins from his opening 13 matches in charge of the club.

The Red Devils have struggled for consistency in the league this season – this all after winning their first three matches – and have won just two of their last ten league games.

Their 1-1 draw at home to West Ham on Sunday was their fourth successive draw at Old Trafford in the Premier League, with Stoke, Burnley, and Arsenal all leaving the North West with a share of the spoils.

Although the performances have improved under Mourinho, United are sixth in the Premier League table, and already trail league leaders Chelsea by 11 points, and fourth place Arsenal by eight.

They go into this evening’s League Cup quarter-final against West Ham hopeful of making it to the last four of a competition they haven’t won for six years, and it’s a competition that, when Mourinho has won it in the past, has proved to be a springboard for further success.

Nevertheless, the United squad still looks short on the quality required to challenge for the title, so Mourinho may already be thinking about how he can improve his side when the transfer window reopens in January.

Thus, here are the THREE star signings that top United’s Christmas list…

it is very simple, play the best formations and we wins. we have what it takes to win the league but the players are not used approprately.
