32 goals in 54 games last season, and then a further six at last summer’s European Championships, Antoine Griezmann is a man in demand.

The Frenchman has been one of the best forwards in the world in the last few seasons, and has scored 66 goals for Atletico Madrid since moving there in 2014.

However, he parted company with his agent in September and, with the uncertainty surrounding manager Diego Simeone’s future at the Spanish club, there are doubts about Griezmann’s long-term future.

Eight goals in 15 games for France this year and nine goals in 17 matches for Atletico this season demonstrates a forward who remains at the peak of his game, and with United having held a long-term interest in the 25-year-old, Mourinho could use Griezmann’s friendship with Paul Pogba to try and strike a deal in January.
