In one of the oddest deadline day transfers in a long time, Moussa Sissoko left Sky Bet Championship side Newcastle United for Tottenham in a deal worth £30 million.

This was all after some decent performances from the Frenchman during the European Championships, yet £30 million is a lot of money for a player who scored once for the Magpies in their relegation campaign last time out.

There were question marks about the move, and those question marks still remain a few months into the season, with Sissoko doing little to pay back that price tag.
