A lot of people were raving about Nabil Bentaleb’s ability in the midfield for Tottenham, and many suggested that he was one of the key assets to their progression.

Yet, a few years down the line, and the Algerian international is nothing more than a squad-player at Spurs, who occasionally appeared in the Premier League and Europa League last season. He’s now been farmed out on loan to Schalke.

Although a fans favourite at White Hart Lane, the 21-year-old showed signs of his potential, but was never really as good as people made out.
