David Moyes spent £37 million on Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata in one of the more surprising moves of the 2014 January transfer window.

Nonetheless, the Red Devils were getting a Spaniard who twice won Player of the Season at Stamford Bridge, netting 33 times in 135 games for the Blues, and he’s done well since arriving at Old Trafford as well.

Mata has scored 32 goals in 127 appearances for United under Moyes, Louis van Gaal, and now Jose Mourinho, and continues to be one of the best and most influential midfielders in the Premier League.

Occasionally he plays out of his natural position, but Mata remains effective and a threat whenever he’s on the field, and will be a key player for the club over the next few seasons.
