These are the 3 worst January signings Manchester City ever made

Manchester City spent £10 million on Chelsea defender Wayne Bridge in January 2009, but he only really had 18 decent months at the Etihad.

The former England international made 22 appearances in the second half of the 2008/09 campaign, before making 28 in his first full campaign the season after.

However, his performances obviously did very little for manager Roberto Mancini, as the Italian brought in Aleksandar Kolarov in the summer of 2010, and then Gael Clichy from Arsenal a year later.

Bridge then spent time on loan at West Ham, Sunderland, and Brighton before signing for Championship side Reading on a one-year deal, and then retiring from the game in 2014.
