In the winter window of 2004, striker Bobby Zamora joined West Ham as part of a swap deal that saw Jermain Defoe move the other way.

Zamora became a club hero at the Boleyn Ground by scoring 40 goals and making 152 appearances in four and a half years.

He was then sold to fellow Londoners Fulham for a fee of £4,800,000 in July 2008.

The forward scored the goal that promoted the Hammers to the Premier League in the 2005 play-off final.

Needless to say, Zamora will go down as a Hammers legend.
