This is the Arsenal XI that can catch Premier League leaders Chelsea

Theo Walcott

Theo Walcott’s return from injury in the last few weeks will give Arsenal fans much optimism ahead of a busy few months.

The England international, who missed out on selection for the European Championships last year, missed just over six weeks during December and January due to a calf injury, yet came back with a bang by netting a hat-trick against former club Southampton in the fourth round of the FA Cup on January 28.

Since then, the 27-year-old hasn’t been able to add to his eight Premier League goals this term, although you sense that, such is his injury record, he may need more time to get back into the swing of things over the coming weeks.

Nonetheless, Walcott’s form in the first half of the campaign was excellent, and if he can get to that level again between now and May, the Gunners could well catch Chelsea.
