He has been far from his best in recent weeks, but Mesut Ozil has still had a fine season for Arsenal this term.

The German World Cup winner has scored nine goals and laid on seven assists in 28 appearances in all competitions thus far, but hasn’t contributed to a goal in any of his last three games.

Nonetheless, the 28-year-old is embarking on his best goal-scoring season since moving to the Emirates back in 2013, with his tally of nine one more than last season.

However, his recent form has been severely criticised in some quarters, and there’s even rumours he may get dropped from the side to face Bayern Munich on Wednesday such is his low confidence and struggles in the final third.

Yet, Ozil is still a quality footballer who can make things happen out of nothing, so don’t expect him to be out of form for too long.
