Danny Rose could return to the Tottenham team by the end of the month, which is significantly earlier than first feared when he came off against Sunderland last month.

The England international limped off with a knee problem that looked set to rule him out for a while, yet manager Pochettino has spoken positively about his recovery, and thus he may return earlier than anticipated.

And that will be a massive boost to Spurs, given that Rose has been in sensational form this season, netting twice and laying on two assists in 18 starts.

Spurs are at their best when their full-backs are getting forward and helping out in attack, and that’s where Rose has been particularly good this term, although his defensive capabilities have also improved ten-fold.

He is now England’s number one choice left-back, and looks set to retain that position for a while yet.
