Mesut Ozil has had one of his best seasons at Arsenal thus far, and his form and fitness will be play a huge part in what Wenger’s side achieve this season.

The German World Cup winner has netted five goals and laid on three assists in the Premier League this season, taking his overall assists tally in the English top-flight to 36 since he joined Arsenal back in 2013.

Add in four goals and three further assists in the Champions League, and Ozil is having a massive influence in the final third of the pitch, a bit like last season, where he recorded a record 19 assists in the Premier League.

Not specifically part of the frontline, but having a player of Ozil’s calibre in your attack is a massive plus for Arsenal, who must make sure that he remains at the club beyond the window given that he has yet to sign a new and improved deal at the club.
