This is what Chelsea’s fearsome front three could look like come the end of January

Pedro and Willian have been excellent in recent weeks and would feel hard done by if they lost their place in the starting eleven, but they probably would if James Rodriguez made the move to Stamford Bridge this month.

The Real Madrid attacker has struggled for regular first team football under Zinedine Zidane this season, starting only four of their 17 La Liga matches, and just one of their last four league games.

With just one goal in his 13 league and Champions League appearances this season, it’s clear that the Colombian captain is not going to regularly nail down a first team spot, so a move away could be beneficial for the 25-year-old.

Chelsea almost got a deal done for Rodriguez at the end of the summer transfer window but to no avail, and, given that his first team chances haven’t improved since then, they have once again been linked with the attacker.

It would be a good move for both parties if the Blues can complete a deal for the Colombian this month.
