Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin scored 18 Premier League goals last season.

You could probably count the number of Premier League clubs that HAVEN’T been linked with the Queens Park Rangers hitman in the past on one hand.

The 26-year-old, who was called up to Roy Hodgson’s England squad back in May last year, has scored an impressive nine goals in 16 league games for the Championship outfit this season.

However it was last term’s tally of 18 Premier League goals in 35 games for relegated QPR that saw Austin linked with lucrative moves to the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United during the summer transfer window.

Despite insisting he is ready to stay at Loftus Road until the summer; this hasn’t stopped speculation brewing that top-flight quartet Crystal Palace, Newcastle United, Swansea City and Sunderland could all make last-ditch £5m New Year moves for the prolific Football League goalscorer.
