5. Luton 3-2 Arsenal – 1988 Final

A classic giant-killing – Arsenal were the reigning League Cup holders and they were favourites to win it again. Not many people had even considered that Luton would win against a team who were at the top level of English football, with players such as Tony Adams, Kenny Sansom and Alan Smith. Yet at Wembley Stadium, in front of over 95,000 fans, Luton claimed victory and their first major trophy in their history. What a day to be a Hatters fan.
