City snatch the title

This match comes in at second due to the importance of the goals and the little time they were scored in. QPR were trying to survive and Manchester City were trying to pip rivals Manchester United to win their first Premier League title. The Red Devils’ match had just finished at Sunderland and they thought they were champions as City trailed 2-1. But, as we all know, they were wrong. Roberto Mancini’s side scored two goals in stoppage time through Edin Dzeko’s header and that Sergio Aguero strike to win the Sky Blues the top flight crown for the first time in 44 years. Luckily for the R’s, results elsewhere meant they survived another season.
