This draw at Selhurt Park is in our top-three Premier League comebacks purely because of the title winning potential this game had for Liverpool. However, the Reds blew a three-goal lead against Palace which all but ended their hopes for the season. Following a 2-1 loss against Chelsea at Anfield, Brendan Rodgers knew they had to win at Selhurst Park to keep the pressure on Manchester City. And it all looked like it was going to plan for the Merseyside team as they led 3-0 with 11 minutes remaining. But Damien Delaney’s deflected shot, which looped in over Simon Mignolet, caused panic in the Liverpool ranks. Two minutes later Yannick Bolasie squared for Dwight Gayle to level the scores before the striker then notched his second, leaving the visitors, and star man Luis Suarez, in tears come the final whistle.
