4. Tottenham 3-5 Manchester United, 2001
‘The Comeback Kings’ as Manchester United were known under Sir Alex Ferguson, lived up to their tag as they came back from a 3-0 half time deficit to beat Spurs at White Hart Lane. Dean Richards gave the hosts the lead on his debut for the club, followed by goals from Les Ferdinand and Christian Ziege. But you can never write off United, who proved they were champions for a reason. One minute after the restart Andy Cole headed in a David Beckham cross, which was closely followed by another header, this time from Laurent Blanc. Ruud van Nistlerooy then scored the equaliser. But the Red Devils weren’t satisfied with a point and went on to win it with strikes from Juan Sebastian Veron and Beckham.
