Top 5: 2016/17 Premier League title contenders

4. Arsenal

Whilst you can never rule Arsenal out of the title race, I’m not convinced that Arsene Wenger has done enough over the summer to make them serious title contenders.

The arrival of Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka will add some grit to their midfield, but they still lack options defensively and in attack.

Last season felt like a missed opportunity for all those involved at the Emirates Stadium and whilst they did pip Tottenham to second place on the final day of the season, they still finished ten points adrift of title-winners Leicester City.

Unfortunately, you can’t help thinking that if this campaign doesn’t go well for them, the English club with the longest-serving manager will be looking for his replacement come the end of the season.
