As another Premier League season’s end beckons; like most others, the title is still up for grabs and there are relegation spaces still to be filled.

Just seven or eight games remain!

Each team has just a handful of fixtures remaining to either save, see out their season or secure silverware. With this season being one of the most unpredictable to date, who knows what will happen between now and May?

Here is Shoot’s five players that could make a huge impact on their teams’ end of season fate…

5. Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

Usually, this man would be top of the list. However, with the Sky Blues now 15 points adrift of league leaders Leicester City, with only eight matches remaining to make up the difference, it appears unlikely that the Argentine will have much of a say where the Premier League trophy is lifted – no matter what form he is in.

Injuries to the likes of goalkeeper Joe Hart, captain Vincent Kompany and fellow defender Nicolas Otamendi has left the City fans now expecting an end of season fight for a top-four finish, rather than a late surge for the title.

Regardless of what race they are in, Aguero always has the ability to change the game in an instant with a predatory strike at goal.
