This was, quite simply, magnificent. When asked what criticism Nigel Pearson was referring to by a journalist, the press conference quickly escalated into a tense affair as the Blues boss completely lost it.

Before storming out, he managed to insult the reporter by calling him ‘an ostrich’ and ‘very stupid’ instead of going into detail about the criticism of his players.

Whilst he was quick to apologise following the incident and subsequently led Leicester to safety, Pearson departed the club at the end of last season after his relationship with the club’s owners broke down.
