Top 5: Potential superstar signings of the 2017 summer transfer window

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The Gabon international is an integral part of Borussia Dortmund’s thrilling attack and has become the most prolific non-German marksman in Dortmund’s history – even surpassing Robert Lewandowski’s tally for the club.

Despite Aubameyang scoring 40 goals in 46 games last season, Dortmund still suffered a tough campaign after finishing third – a massive 18 points behind rivals and title winners Bayern Munich.

Now, most likely as a result of this, Aubameyang could be on his way out after four seasons with the club.

The 28-year-old is perhaps the most sought after striker in Europe and was expected to join Paris Saint Germain last month in a £60m deal, but after the deal didn’t go through, a lot of clubs were put on high alert.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City seem to be leading the way, but the striker will certainly not come cheap, with it even being possibly that the forward could now cost in excess of £60m.

Whilst he could be reunited with Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, the Emirates or the Etihad may be a more likely destination at this stage.
