Top 5: Potential superstar signings of the 2017 summer transfer window

Robert Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowski is a different type of striker to what we have become accustomed to in recent years and his specialist skill set combining athleticism, sublime finishing and free-kicks is certainly more easily comparable to the orthodox No.9.

He would be a classy addition to any top club and it is Manchester United who are most hopeful of capturing his signature, with Arsenal and Real Madrid also tracking his current situation.

Whilst the 28-year-old has just won the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich, scoring 30 goals in 33 appearances, his agent has confirmed that he is becoming frustrated with life in Germany.

Under the new set-up of boss Carlo Ancelotti, who replaced Pep Guardiola as manager last summer, Lewandowski is concerned with the level of support that he is receiving.

Whilst the Poland international would have previously been regarded as an unrealistic target for any club, the forward may have just crept up the wishlist of a few clubs worldwide.
