4. The emergence of Dele Alli

At just 19-years-old, Dele Alli’s astronomical rise has quite rightly caught the eye of fans, media and managers alike.

The teenager capped an excellent year with a fantastic goal in just his second international cap during England’s 2-0 victory over France in November, where he also received the man-of-the-match award.

Alli has been a revelation since joining Spurs

Since arriving at Spurs in the summer, five months after signing for the club, Alli has hit the ground running in the Premier League after a splendid season with MK Dons, where he scored 16 goals to help the club to promotion from League One.

His performances have led to pundit and England coach Gary Neville to describe his emergence as the highlight of his time with the Three Lions.

Alli has also been tipped by England legend Gary Lineker to make the Euro 2016 squad after some fine and consistent performances, including a man-of-the-match display against Aston Villa and another excellent performance in the North London derby against Arsenal.
