2. Jack Wilshere

In one of the more unexpected deals of the day, Arsenal and England midfielder Wilshere joined AFC Bournemouth on loan until the end of the season.

The 24 year-old had been limited to two substitute appearances this season and was omitted from Sam Allardyce’s first national squad on Sunday.

Last season; following a series of injuries, Wilshere had only made three appearance for The Gunners and with the additions of Egypt international Mohamed Elneny and Switzerland star Granit Xhaka, he had found opportunities under Arsene Wenger extremely hard to come by.

Wilshere had already rejected AS Roma, AC Milan and Crystal Palace before agreeing to join Eddie Howe’s side and the midfielder should get much more playing time with The Cherries.
