3. Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Leicester City – January 13, 2016

To many it seemed as though Leicester’s time at the top was over for good.

Having battled hard for the first 16 games of the season, they’d then lost at Liverpool and drawn their next two without scoring. Though the Foxes were still second in the table, they were expected to crumble at White Hart Lane.

And yet they didn’t.

The second of three matches against Spurs in 11 days would later prove the most crucial, with Robert Huth nodding a late winner.

Even at that stage; few would have seen this as a particularly decisive fixture in the title race, but, with these two sides emerging as the only serious challengers, Leicester’s three points in North London were vital.

Manchester City and Arsenal were also pretending to put up a fight back in January, making this result was all the more important with those two teams dropping points against Everton and Liverpool, respectively, on the same night.

Three days later, the Foxes would draw at Villa to regain top spot, and they’ve not lost it since.
