Leicester City lifted the 2015/16 Premier League trophy at the King Power Stadium after their 3-1 victory over Everton.

At the other end of the table, Sunderland’s top-flight status is in their own hands after their 3-2 home win against Chelsea.

Elsewhere; there were wins for Liverpool, Southampton, Manchester United, Crystal Palace and Swansea City.
But as the season near its conclusion, who were the top performers?

5. Jermain Defoe (Sunderland)

The former England international’s 70th minute winner against Chelsea has moved the Black Cats’ destiny into their own hands as they now need just two points to stay up.

With the score level at 2-2, the 33-year-old showed his predatory instincts as he controlled the ball expertly before firing the ball past Thibaut Courtois in the Blues goal to seal all three points at the Stadium of Light.
