The Dutchman was in superb form as he notched his tenth and 11th goals for Newcastle United, all of which have come at St. James’ Park.

He opened the scoring in the Toon’s thumping 5-1 win against Spurs as he fired home following Aleksandar Mitrovic’s lay-off.

The midfielder was a constant menace all afternoon and he was able to grab his second from the spot, after Moussa Sissoko was fouled, converting in front of the Gallowgate End for possibly the last time as rumours circulate in regards to his departure following his side’s relegation.
