Top 5: Premier League Players of the Weekend

1. Romelu Lukaku (Everton)

Lukaku notched an 11-minute second-half hat-trick as he ended a six-month goal drought that lasted 1,139 minutes.

His first came on the hour mark as Idrissa Gueye’s deep cross found him unmarked at the far post.

The 23-year-old then saw an effort thunder back off the crossbar, but he wasn’t to be denied for long as he was once again able to head home when unmarked, this time being found from the left by Yannick Bolasie.

He then completed the first hat-trick of the Premier League season when he was played through by Kevin Mirallas and slotted under Jordan Pickford to complete the 3-0 victory at the Stadium of Light.
