Top 5: Premier League stars available on a free transfer this summer

Yaya Toure

Having been frozen out of the team at the start of the season, few would have believed that Toure would remain at the club for the whole season and go on to make over 20 appearances for Manchester City in all competitions.

However, after issuing an apology following Guardiola’s warning that he may never play for the Manchester outfit again, the Ivorian international has forced himself back into the boss’ plans.

Whilst he is out of contract in the summer, the 33-year-old finds himself in a better position than he would of expected and his immediate priority will be to extend his seven-year stay at the Etihad.

However, should the Spanish manager decide not to renew Toure’s contract, the midfielder could be in line for a move to one of Manchester City’s domestic rivals after voicing his determination to stay in the Premier League next term.
Having rejected a lucrative move to China in January, there is no doubt that the former Barcelona man will be at one of the top football clubs in the world come the beginning of next season.
