Top 5: Premier League summer signings of 2018

Fred (Manchester United)

One of the most expensive summer signings, so far, is the £52m Manchester United splashed out on Brazil international Fred.

The 25-year-old signed a five-year deal at Old Trafford, following his transfer from Ukrainian outfit Shakhtar Donetsk, where he netted four goals in 37 games last term.

Fred is currently on international duty with Brazil at the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russia, despite yet making an appearance for his country, as Brazil face Mexico in the last 16 on Monday afternoon (15:00).
