Top 5: Premier League transfer targets from the 2018 FIFA World Cup

Benjamin Pavard (France)

He is now a World Cup winner, so of course, why wouldn’t Premier League clubs be after France defender Benjamin Pavard?

The 22-year-old played the full 90 minutes in all but one of the champions’ games in Russia this summer, and scored one of the goals of the tournament against Argentina in the last 16, as Didier Deschamps’ side defeated Croatia 4-2 in the final yesterday.

Pavard, who excelled at right-back for France, but is primarily a centre-back, played 36 times in all competitions for German outfit Stuttgart last season.

Arsenal, Tottenham, Bayern Munich and Napoli are all reportedly interested in snapping up the defender this summer.
