4. It would stop diving and off the ball incidents

Simulation is a frequently discussed topic in football and video technology would unquestionably help to combat this. Players can already be punished following the match after the result has been determined for instances where the officials have missed a dive, so why can they not be reviewed during the match, before the result has been decided?

Off the ball incidents would also become easier to officiate, as these moments could be replayed and examined closely in order for the correct decision to be made; rather than the refereeing persisting with what they thought they saw or ignoring it altogether.
