With their golden era seemingly coming to an end at the 2014 World Cup, Spain have begun their rebuilding job.

Following their a dismal campaign in Brazil, where the holders were knocked out at the group stage, Vicente del Bosque has called upon some lesser-known faces to freshen up his squad.

On Friday, England will take on La Roja at the Estadio Jose Rico Perez in Alicante in a match which should tell us more about the two teams ahead of next summer’s Euros in France.

Here’s an introduction to some of Spain’s newest stars who could star against the Three Lions..…

5. Sergio Rico

Rico has done well since breaking into the Sevilla team

The player least likely to feature against England and one you may not know too much about is goalkeeper Sergio Rico.

With David De Gea and Iker Casillas fighting for the number 1 spot, the Sevilla stopper will have to settle for just being a squad member.

But at the age of just 22, there’s  big chance he will be battling it our with the Manchster United man for years to come.

Given his chance due to injuries last year, the Sevilla-born star has not let his local side down and has impressed since he’s been given the gloves.

He was first called up by Del Bosque in May, but has yet to earn a senior cap.

I think Spain will win. Then I think France will win. Not because I have anything against England, just that I am fed up with them thinking they are good.
