Following a short playing spell at Crystal Palace, Edgar Davids announced that he would be joining Barnet as their joint Head Coach.

The Dutch midfielder, who has played for the likes of Ajax, AC Milan, Juventus, Barcelona, Inter Milan, spoke of his desire to move the struggling League Two outfit in the right direction.

It wasn’t long before the former midfield wonder was pulling on a playing shirt for the Bees, but even that couldn’t save them from relegation to the Conference. Discipline proved to be a major problem for Davids, who resigned just eight games into the following season.
