Top 5: Summer 2017 Premier League Transfers

Alexandre Lacazette

With forward Alexis Sanchez’s future still unclear at the Emirates Stadium this summer, Arsenal’s capture of Alexandre Lacazette could prove vital – one in their bid to sign a star striker, and two to perhaps ultimately replace the Chilean ace.

Lacazette, 26, scored a remarkable 37 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions for Lyon last season, seeing Gunners boss Arsene Wenger splash out an initial club-record £46.5m on the France international’s services.

Given his superb goalscoring ratio, Arsenal fans will be hoping he can fire the club back into the Premier League’s top four – a minimum requirement for a club of The Gunners’ stature.
