Top 5: Summer 2017 Premier League Transfers

Alvaro Morata

Another mega-money move was completed at Stamford Bridge earlier this month, as Chelsea coughed up another club-record £60m to land Real Madrid hitman Alvaro Morata on a five-year contract.

The 24-year-old netted 20 goals in all competitions for the UEFA Champions League and La Liga winners last term, despite starting just 14 fixtures in the Spanish top-flight under Zinedine Zidane.

Morata’s arrival will be truly valued once fellow Spanish forward Diego Costa completes his expected Chelsea departure this summer, given he is surplus to requirements under Antonio Conte’s reign.
