Tottenham and Aston Villa are reportedly keeping tabs on £14 million rated Gent striker Laurent Depoitre.

Both clubs are keen to strengthen their attacking options in January, and have been scouting the Belgium international, who scored in his side’s 2-1 Champions League win against Zenit last week, which sent them through to the last-16.

The tall 27-year-old has scored seven goals in 25 appearances in all competitions for the Belgian league leaders this season, and was an integral part of their first ever title win last term, notching 14 times.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is looking to provide competition for Harry Kane, while Remi Garde knows he needs a goalscorer if the Villans are to have any chance of staying up.
