Reported Tottenham and Newcastle target Saido Berahino won’t be allowed to leave West Brom before the transfer window closes, but can in the summer according to the Daily Mirror.

Despite not starting a game for the Baggies since October after a failed transfer request back in August, Albion chairman Jeremy Peace won’t sell the 22-year-old this month, but could change his stance come the end of the season.

Spurs and Steve McClaren’s Magpies have both been linked with a move for the front man in this window, but the former is unwilling to match the £25 million offer, including add-ons, that they submitted last year.

Berahino, who has 18 months left on his contract at the Hawthorns, has netted four goal in all competitions this term.

If WBA wont sell until August, then Berahino may want to stay an extra 5 months until end Jan 17, when his transfer value will be precious little but he can negotiate a substantial sign-on fee.
