Tottenham and West Ham United could go head-to-head this summer in a bid to sign Spain international Marc Bartra, according to Mundo Deportivo (via Football Espana).

The Premier League duo, who currently sit second and sixth in the standings respectively, are said to be keeping close tabs on the FC Barcelona defender ahead of the close of the 2015-16 campaign.

The 25-year-old, who has six international caps for his country, has scored one goal in 18 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga giants so far this season.

However Bartra; who joined Barca’s youth academy when he was just 11, has started just three league games under manager Luis Enrique this term, leading to the centre-half to be seriously reconsidering his future at the Nou Camp.

Despite the defender set to be selected for Spain’s squad to compete at the forthcoming 2016 UEFA European Championships in France, Barcelona could accept an offer below their £19.5m valuation of the player this summer.
