Tottenham have reportedly entered negotiations over a potential £30m deal for France international forward Alexandre Lacazette this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Premier League side, who eventually finished third in the English top-flight standings on the final day of the 2015/16 campaign, 11 points adrift of champions Leicester City at the summit, are trying to lure Lyon’s star striker to White Hart Lane ahead of the forthcoming 2016/17 term.

The 24-year-old; who has 10 international caps for his country, but is not included in France’s squad for the EURO 2016 finals which start next week, scored 23 goals and provided four assists in 44 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit this season.

Lacazette, who is also said to be attracting interest from Premier League rivals West Ham United ahead of their move into the Olympic Stadium, is wanted by Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino as valuable competition for England international Harry Kane at the North London club.

The report suggests that Lyon want £30m for their prized asset, whilst Tottenham are only wanting to shell out £24m.
