Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly entered the race to sign QPR striker Charlie Austin.

The R’s star, who netted 18 Premier League goals for the relegated Hoops last season, is wanted by a whole host of top flight clubs.

Now Spurs have put their hat in the ring for the 26-year-old after being told by West Brom that Saido Berahino isn’t for sale.

The White Hart Lane would be willing to meet the Championship side’s £15m price-tag, which has previously put off the former Swindon man’s other suitors such as Newcastle, Aston Villa and West Ham
