Tottenham simply must sign a striker in January – and here’s why

Janssen hasn’t settled well

It’s plain to see that new signing Vincent Janssen has struggled during his time in England to date. The Dutchman has proved to be a solid target man, but with Spurs favouring a formation that has just one striker, he needs to provide goals for the team as well.

Janssen’s failure to adapt to English football quickly means that Spurs look like being overly reliant on Harry Kane once again this season. The Englishman is still Spurs’ top Premier League goal scorer with six goals, despite his recent injury. Mauricio Pochettino needs to add to his options up top in January to ease the burden on the 23-year-old.
