Tottenham simply must sign a striker in January – and here’s why

They need more goals to make the Champions League

Tottenham’s poor showing in the Champions League is bound to spur them on in their pursuit of a top four spot this season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men have defended superbly in the league this term, having only conceded 10 goals in 13 Premier League games.

The problem area has been in attack, they’re not putting away their chances with anywhere near the same regularity as the other teams chasing the Champions League places.

They need a new striker to freshen up their options up top and drive them toward the top four during the second half of the campaign.
