Two players who could make a Chelsea return in January

Chelsea boss Conte stated yesterday that Blues legend Frank Lampard wants to keep playing football in the next few years.

The former England captain saw his contract at MLS side New York City FC end last month, and has since made no decision on what he’s doing next.

However, could a move back to Chelsea, perhaps as a player-coach, be on the cards?

Lampard would bring more experience to the Blues side, having 648 times for the club and netting 211 goals, and remember that he was playing for Manchester City just last year, so clearly still has enough quality in the tank to make a difference at this level.

It’s a long shot, but you’d have to expect to see Lampard back at Stamford Bridge in some capacity, so as a first team player is not out of the question.
