Two players who could make a Manchester United return in January

Danny Drinkwater

England international Danny Drinkwater left Manchester United in 2012 to sign for Leicester, and his career has flourished since.

The 26-year-old helped the Foxes return to the Premier League in 2014, played a part in keeping them up the season after, and then helped them win the Premier League title last season.

Drinkwater has also earned three England caps, all three this year, and his fine form in the middle of Claudio Ranieri’s midfield has attracted interest from ex-employers United.

They were linked with him back in September, at a time where Mourinho was struggling to know his best midfield combination, but interest has resurfaced in recent days, especially with it likely that Morgan Schneiderlin will leave Old Trafford next month.
