Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all interested in signing Nigeria international Odion Ighalo this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Premier League trio, who currently sit third, 12th and fifth in the standings respectively after their opening 26 fixtures, have been impressed by Watford’s star striker’s performances in the English top-flight this term.

The 26-year-old, who has five international caps for his country, has scored a remarkable 15 goals in 26 league appearances for Quique Sanchez Flores’ newly promoted outfit so far this season.

The report suggests that the Hornets are resigned to losing their prized asset once the 2015-16 campaign has concluded, with the club willing to listen to offers in the region of £12m for Ighalo’s transfer.

The Nigerian star scored 20 goals during the 2014-15 season to help fire Watford back into the English top-flight for the first time since they were relegated back in 2007.

Comment just because he’s a Nigerian and from Africa that’s why d English press have refused to celebrate him .If it was an European or English player he would have been overhyped and his value will skyrocket up to 50 million pounds .That’s why English. teams rarely do well when it matters most .

don’t let us over hype ighalo for the sake of patrotism, he still need to improve on certain areas of his game like 1. shooting and passing accuracies 2. backing the post decision 3. he should take up more responsibilities like taking free kicks and spot kicks. i am not bothered if my no 9 is not à good dribbler like ayew but he should work on his positioning for the final balls and be available when needed to put the ball in the net. ighalo is not yet à superstar.
