West Bromwich Albion have reportedly launched a £5m bid for Tottenham Hotspur defender Federico Fazio.

The Argentine centre-back has struggled to establish himself in Spurs’ starting line-up since making the move to White Hart Lane from Sevilla last August, and his first-team chances have been further hampered by the additions of Toby Alderweireld and Kevin Wimmer this summer.

That has led Baggies boss Tony Pulis to make an offer for the 28-year-old, which the North London club, and the player, are likely to accept.

Fazio made 32 appearances in all competitions for Maurico Pochettino’s men in the 2014-15 season, scoring one goal.
