West Brom chase Birmingham starlet

West Brom have been linked with a move for Birmingham City winger Demarai Gray.

The Premier League outfit are reportedly interested in enticing the 19-year-old forward to The Hawthorns before the close of the transfer window, despite the fact that Gray signed a new three-year deal at St Andrew’s only last month.

The England Under-20 international, who has been at Birmingham since 2006, scored six goals in 43 appearances in all competitions for Gary Rowett’s Championship side last season.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis was close to tabling a £4m bid for Gray back in January, but it seems West Brom’s pursuit of the English starlet has not dissolved despite the summer signings of fellow wingers James McClean and Serge Gnabry.
