West Bromwich Albion are in discussions to sign Sevilla midfielder Vicente Iborra.

The 27-year-old played a pivotal role in Unai Emery’s side’s quest to win the UEFA Europa League against Dnipro and qualify for this season’s Champions League.

Reports suggest the Baggies have lodged an opening £6m offer for the Spaniard, who scored seven goals in 27 La Liga appearances last season.

Following the summer arrival of Stoke City midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, Iborra’s future at Sevilla has been left in doubt, alerting the likes of other potential suitors such as European champions Barcelona and Premier League rivals West Ham United and Southampton.
