With the January transfer window fast approaching West Ham will be searching the market for players who can add to their options for the second half of the season.

The season has started poorly for Slaven Bilic’s side; a disastrous run of results means the East-Londoners find themselves in 17th place in the Premier League, despite an impressive draw at Anfield last time out. Romanian outsiders Astra Giurgiu also dumped the Hammers out of the Europe during qualification for the Europa League. Having spent the whole summer getting excited about their European adventure, it was over before it began.

However, the men from the London Stadium have it all to play for during the second half of the campaign. They’ll be desperate to climb the Premier League table, to ensure their safety and earn as much as possible from the new TV deal (weighting of money is handed out in accordance with final league position).

The Hammers will also have their eye on an FA Cup run, having not won a major trophy since 1981. To help them with these goals the recruitment team will no doubt be working overtime to identify players who can add that extra bit of quality to the side in January.

It’s always worth keeping an eye out for bargain buys during the window, as the money saved in these deals can be spent on other targets. With that said here’s THREE bargain buys West Ham should be looking to snap up this January.
